Whistler search & rescue fundraiser

Whistler Search and Rescue Society is a dedicated volunteer-driven organization that works tirelessly each year to keep our community safe and save lives. For many of us at The Beacon and throughout Whistler, WSAR has had a profound impact, and we are deeply grateful for their unwavering passion, commitment, and service to our community.

In January 2021, the Beacon tragically lost our dear friend and colleague, Jesse Van Roon, in a snowboarding accident on Whistler Mountain. Jesse was known for his infectious smile, positive energy, and love of adventure, always leading the charge on powder days. His presence and humor is deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Each January, the Beacon raises funds in honour of Jesse Van Roon with 100% of the proceeds going directly to WSAR. Thank you for all of your support for this awesome cause. Please ask your server how you can help!
